Hiya ..Stallions are a differant kettle of fish you have to respect them, we have a 4yr old piebald stallion, I had him profesionally broken last year and he was like a lamb I rode him a couple of times while he was being broken got on fine and I thought right when he comes back to us I'll ride him, he came back a differant boy he new exactly what he was about and one whiff of the mares god nor man would stop him, I chickened out, some people say females shouldn't work with stallions, as they get the female smell, not true as a few months ago he went away to a friends yard to be trained, unfortunately she found out she had MS so he had to come home she was getting on brilliant with him, I'd say he knows I'm scared of him but I must say he's much better behaved with males, now the fella that you have could be differant sure you get teasers that are like lambs and then I've been at shows where the place has to be cleared for a stallion. Our boy is going to start covering this year I've been told once he starts it could make him more aggressive, suppose it all depends if your boy is kept for breeding after all thats what he has the bits for, if not get him gelded, you could end up getting hurt if you don't know what your doing..Take Care and Goodluck..

Hi, I havn't been riding for long and I can already jump 4ft. On my small welsh section B loan pony Billy, recently I have been given a task of training up my friends un-backed Stallion Fred, If I can train him up I get Fred :) Recently I've been having abit of trouble. Fred IS MAD! Any Help Much Appreciated :P x

Hii , Skiirt13596 and Saph, i have been jumpingg forr about 3 years and heres some tips 1. Always look up never look down because thats were you willl end ! 2. Only jump what u think ure ready 4! 3. Come on a good angle or ure horse might refuse. Hope these tips help xx

hey im sort of in the same boat as u Skirt13596 as im just starting out jumping and id say the main this is 2 be confident with ure horses ability 2 jump the fence, and always start small and never push ure self with jumping just take it slow.

I want anyone who has tips for people starting to jump, or people who want tips to start jumping. I have only started to jump in the last few months, and I would like tips that anyone has to help a nervous jumping rider start to jump, which I really want to do.
