Hi Horse Girl, Caspians are brilliant children's ponies. they are very calm and take everything in their stride. they have the advantage in that they look like show ponies but don't have all the highly strung tendencies.every year we have the Caspian Breed Show and we usually have lots of helpers bathing the horses the day before- from children to adults bathing foals to stallions!i am a student so i only get chance to ride during holidays and i just saddle up or pop one in the trap and away we go! i've broken in several both to harness and saddle and they keep surprising me with how readily they can be trained! hope this helps!
