I've even stopped taking the happy pills! i hear my main horse give huge sighs of relief as we turn to go up the moors and not to the truck or arena!Bliss

I absolutely loved going but the continuous sweat of keeping a horse fit enough to go, clipped out, fed loads, terribly cold, wet weather etc took it toll and what with work I ended up very run down. I am now a 'serious hacker' and absolutely love it.

I love to see the colours change and the fields changing. It makes one feel part of nature rather than at odds with it. I love to meet friends as it is always fun and, like Jjsmum says good time for a natter.

After all the days of schooling and jumping it was decided to relax and go on a riding picnic. It turned out that more then three quarters of the ponies there had never been ridden anywhere but in an arena and the fun and frolics that ensued as they had a first taste of open country left the adult organisers severely stretched!!! But what a eyeopener that was as to how many ponies live their lives.

It would be nice if we could get some moreinformation together about what goes on in the different regions. Any thoughts ?
