Everything I've read or watched keeps talking about ring like lesions without any mention to actual skin appearance or the feel of the skin and coat. The reason I'm asking is because my Allie has these crusty almost yeasty like lesions with hair loss under her fetlock and on her chest and a couple on her withers, none are round, but they do seem itchy. They are also a little greasy ( they remind me of when my dane was eating processed dog food and he would get these sores and scabs on his body and he smelled too - like an allergic reaction. So without tracking down the black light, is there anyway too tell upon visual inspection whether it is ring worm or another fungal infection? .
