If you have to apply a dressing on your horse, instead of buying the expensive dressings, buy a packet of sanitary towels, as these do exactly the same job without costing a fortune! They will pull all the muck away from the surface of the cut. Just remember though they are not sterile like a vet dressing.

not sure if this is the right place to put this but im sure sombody will answer me,Iam feeding my boy equilife suppliment for feet, he has been having it for almost a year now and his hooves have done well. it costs 89 pound for a 20kg bag. that will last for approx 3months.while in the feed shop yesterday i was told that top spec is just as good and only half the price. Bo is a dogooder so doesnt get any hard feed he gets his suppliment which i use as a balancer and a small amount of flax oil which is fed on a wekly basis. Bo now has good hooves and shiny coat and appears to be doing well, has anybody any views on topspec as a hoof suppliment and balancer?
